Coming from the South take the BR 101 to Teixeira de Freitas. From there take the sign to Alcobaça and then into Prado where you take a dirt road for 30km to reach Cumuruxatiba. Coming from the North take BR 101 to Itamaraju, turn off in direction to Prado. Before reaching Prado at km 42 take a left into a well sign ported dirt road and then it is only 32km to reach Cumuruxatiba.
by air
The nearest international airport is Porto Seguro, offering many different airline services. Pantanal Airline offers flights from São Paulo 3 times a week to Mucuri airport. There are smaller airstrips at Teixeira de Freitas and Prado where private aircrafts can land.
